Cheesy garlic bisuits (aka red lobster biscuits)

Set your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a cooking sheet with nonstick spray.

Dump into a bowl: 2 cups of buttermilk biscuit mix (like Bisquick or Jiffy mix), 1/2 a teaspoon of garlic powder, and 1 to 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese.

Stir everything together.

Pour in about 2/3 cups of milk. Stir until combined.

It gets pretty thick, and you can add a little more milk if you need to. But don’t add too much, otherwise it’ll get really sticky. Use the two-spoon method to drop lumps of the dough onto your cookie sheet

Stick them in the oven and set the timer to 10 minutes. Now, melt 2 Tablespoons of butter and stir in 2 teaspoons of oregano and 1 teaspoon of garlic salt.

When the timer goes off (10 minutes, remember?) brush some of the butter mixture over each biscuit. Then, pop them back into the oven for another 5-6 minutes.Or until they’re lightly browned. If you’d like, you can brush them with the garlic-herb butter again and let it soak in before you serve them.

If you’re having people over, you’d better double the recipe. These will get snatched up really quick!

Mac N' Cheese

For some reason I get a lot of requests for this from family and friends. So those of you that don't know it, here it is:

Macaroni noodles
heavy whipping cream
assorted cheeses

It's just something I put together so I don't know how much to tell you to use besides...whatever feels good. I would guess 1/2 cup whipping cream and 1 cup cheese. We like combinations of cheeses. Our favorites are cheddar with swiss, or cheddar with fresh parmesan.
Testimonials:
"Thats some good stuff.....mmmmm...mmmm" Uncle Tom
"I Lub noodo" Robby
"Wheres the beef?" Bruce Lee
"Me like cheesey." Chris Farley
"I pitty the foo who doesn't like Net's mac and cheese; sucka!" Mr. T
"All I do is sit and eat, sit and eat." Whistler's mother

Best Dip EVER!!

This is seriously the best dip ever! If you are going to the store this week you have to get the stuff to make this dip. You will not be disappointed.

Someone in our ward made this for our Halloween potluck and Johnny and I absolutely loved it but couldn't find who made it. Then at our ward Christmas potluck and it was there again! So we made sure we tracked down the sister this time.

Here it is:
1 lb. (16 oz) pork sausage
2 bricks (8 oz. each) cream cheese
1 can ( 15 oz) Rotel dices tomatoes (or another brand dices tomatoes with chilies)
Cheddar cheese
Tortilla chips

Brown sausage, drain, add cream cheese and tomatoes, stir until cheese is melted. Put into a 9 X 9 dish and sprinkle with cheddar cheese. Bake 350 degrees until top cheese is melted. Serve with tortilla chips. Yummy hot or cold.

This is not spicy at all so those of you that like a little kick can get the spicy sausage and spicy Rotel.

Hope you like it as much as we do!
